The British folk scene is one that is truly thriving at the moment, each week is seems that we are introduced to a new fresh-faced artist or act that claim they are going to take the genre further.
The Fox & The Hounds is a six-piece alternative band whose debut album ‘The Fox & The Hounds’ branches out much further than just one genre. Throughout the album there are a wide variety of musical influences and instruments that make their way through the tracks.

Written by David MariamMumford & Sons are back with their new album ‘Babel’ and credit should be given where it is due. The record, in terms of sound quality, composition and lyrics are fantastic. Once again the band strip down music to the bare essentials and make it work for them. Songs like "Reminder" and "The Boxer" are perfect poetic stories that, whilst being short, have a huge amount of depth to them.
Comebacks aren’t for everyone...
there are plenty of bands who have gone on a rather long hiatus and try and revamp their career and have just come off as washouts. Having said that Matchbox Twenty are back after their lengthy ten-year hiatus with their 4th studio album “North”.
