Samuel Bazan is a true troubadour of music who's style is contagious. I had the pleasure of asking him questions about inspirations, his music and superpowers. Look at the interview here!

Hey man, so let’s get the started. It’s been a few months since releasing your debut album ‘Slow Down’. What have you been up to since then?

Hi, I’ve been moving forward with the next steps to further promote the album and my career. I’m in talks with a music manager and also about to sign a publishing/placement deal with an independent music publisher. Hopefully that will help the take the music to a broader and greater level.

For people that haven’t heard your music before, describe your music in one word?

Honest

What effect do you want your music to have on people?

I hope that people are able to relate to the songs with what is going on in their lives. Or find a way to escape for 3 mins where they can reflect or simply just have a good time listening to the songs.

Who would you say your biggest influence in your life is?

My friends and family. I am very lucky to have great positive people in my life whom I learn from and also inspire me everyday.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been at this for close to 8 yrs , and hopefully for many more to come.

Is there any album you bought, and thought this is what I want to do with my life?

I think Bruce Springsteen “The Rising” had that effect.

What have you found to be the biggest struggle in the music world?

It would have to be exposure, as an independent artist it’s hard to get your name out there on your own. Large labels have the money and connections to make anything popular regardless if it’s good or not. So It can be a bit daunting trying to find ways to expose your self with limited resources, there is only so many things you can do before you reach the limit.

What is the best gig you have ever been to?

Honestly it would have to be Keith Urban that guy is too good.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I’d love to do a record with Producer Brendan O’brien he’s is an amazing producer and one of my favorites.

Do you have any guilty music pleasures?

“Girls Just want to have fun” by Cindy Lauper is that weird ??? maybe you shouldn’t answer that.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Would you use it for good or evil? I would be able to fly, go any where anytime and it’s the ultimate definition of freedom!! I would use it for good to rescue girls in distress…like super man only I be wearing jeans, boots and a fannel.

Finally, what does the future hold for you? What are your plans for this year?

I hope that I can get to I can get to place where I can successfully do music fulltime and continue to grow as an artist. Also, to get in the studio with with my great friend and Co-producer Jeff Wilson to start on the second album, song are done its just a matter of time.
